Back to Tuesday - KARIN guck mal
Yesterday was a busy day as always and Soren decided he is old enough to help. Yeah, helping cleaning. Or in other words sneaking the broom from me. I was lucky he didn't clean off everything in the kitchen and off the table.
Karin's suggestion is pretty good: When Soren is eventually crawling just to go and tie cleaning rags on his knees and he will do the job.
Karin, here is the video to see after you already heard everything via the phone LOL.

SOREN IS finally ... - endlich ...

Sunday - A Day To Rest
More than seven years ago, Leland and I had
+ NO kids
+ NO more than 1-bedroom apartment in Germany
+ NO highspeed internet
+ NO American or English speaking TV channels (poor Leland)
+ NO reason to go shopping (stores are closed in Germany on Sundays)
+ NO work from home
+ NO problem to sleep in in the morning.
Now, there is no more sleeping in. Instead we had a pretty busy Sunday. Bella has Sunday School, so she has to get there on time and be picked up on time. Luckily only a few minutes from the house and with Leland back home the other two rugrats can stay home for those trips if he is awake.
Don't I always say that Soren has his sisters twisted around his finger. LOL
Today Bella's classmate invite her to his birthday party in Killeen, so we picked up Neva and spent the afternoon there. The girls loved the Inflatable. Pictures follow. Afterwards we brought Neva back and anytime we meet her it always takes a while until we get to leave. The girls love to play together and her mom Heidi is just a real sweetheart.

Recapturing the last few days ....
Of course once a while it might happen you go out the door, start the car and you just notice that you forgot something, so you have to go back. That's nothing unusual for me either, it probably would be more unusual if I or one of the munchkins would not forget something. But being half blind, it's not really a good idea walking in the house with your arms full of Soren and whatever else I have to get inside, finally get my hands empty, kick the shoes of my feet and notice that I still have my sunglasses on my nose. Of course, I am too lazy to go back to the car because it is parked so far away right in front of the door. - No, I was sick last week. - But luckily I was able to teach one good thing to Isabell how to use my carkeys to unlock the door. LOL.
So
Me: 'Beeeeeellla, can u please go to the car and get my glasses!'
Bella: 'Do I have to?'
Me: 'The keys are somewhere in the kitchen.'

That's how she came back inside. I can see the missing paint on my frames, now.
On Valentinsday, Leland was so nice to bring the girls to school - Chiara had to go back, too, after she had to stay a day at home because she was send home from school the day before that because of temperature of 100.2 F. It was quite easy to get them ready for a change, both were excited fo rthe Valentinsparty in school, they got poptarts for breakfast (treat) and I didn't need to fix lunch neither after the school meal plan said heart shaped chicken nuggets for lunch. That was worth to send $1.75 for each.
But just after I send them both out to the car, Bella came running back, 'Mami, Mami, come outside, look and the beautiful sky!' So I went cold, freezing and barefoot outside.

I guess I am not the only camera crazy person in the house.
OMA, you see, the cameras are getting lots of use and lots of getting dropped by Chiara, too, and they are still working!
Soren and I managed to get out of the house to get our Valentine treats for our Loved ones on that day, too. A card for Leland and balloons for the girls - we already had the chocolate. Soren was the one who loved the balloons most. LOL.
And Soren got his own treat - Gerber Finger Food Fruit Puffs. he LOVES them. And also figured out how to get them in his mouth by himself. YEAH. He is not always successful, but getting better and better. Now he gets more tablefood to feed himself every day.
He likes to taste the container, too.
Late night fun

What a day!
But this was one of those days, we actually had bad weather for a few hours - I love rainy days, the air smells so fresh after a shower and you could hear birds chirping. Usually all I hear are those darn treefrogs, still I have to get to see one yet, it probably easier just to google for 'treefrog'. - back to today. Just got told that those might be just toads like the ones we caught cleaning out our pool last September.
Chiara was just trouble and in trouble from morning to evening. I know she is a bouncy ball, but I really don't know what is in this head of a 5 year old is going on. She is smart and bright, she knows so much, but all is about fun and what she wants to do right in this moment. Nothing can wait, nothing can be remembered, nothing can be cleaned up without telling her once, twice, three times and again and again. That just doesn't work. I love her to death and she is so huggable, cuddly, can be so helpful, nice, loves her sister and brother sooooooooooo much, has non stop ideas and the most creative imagination, energy, ....

Adding some extra weight to prevent ESCAPE ATTEMPTS.

FAILED! Guard is tricked into laundry basket.

But still SURVIVED with a smile!
Partner in crime to make the escape successful! And not left out.

Volunteerly returned into the laundry basket!

BACK to WORK! Punishment for escape and being trick.

Happy Valentinsday!

We wish everybody Happy Valentines!, sorry this year no personal cards or emails even we did not forget about you, there was just not time left. We try next year again.
And thanks for all the nice Valentines coming to us, we love every single one of them.
So, now I am crawling back in my bed, the rest in the house is already asleep, but of course somebody (probably me) locked Vincenzo in the garage and I bear hearing him whining anymore and had to get back up to rescue that ungrateful cat.
P.S.
If I get to it I will edit this and the last post into German, just not tonight anymore and also not tomorrow.
Happy 8 Months, Soren
Back to the main person of February 12th. Our little baby is already 8 months. Can you believe how fast the time flew by. He is 29 and 1/2 inches tall (don't ask for the metric conversation today) and over 27 pounds. And I can witness his weight everytime I pick him up. His clothes size is 12 to 24 months depending how tiny the size is.
-I have to add this, American clothes is cute, but for tiny babies. European sizes fit more age appropriate label to baby boy. - PJs in the pic above is 2T or even 3T, I have to check.
His ear infections are gone, but he does cough and sneeze, especially in the night.

10 Toes Make 2 Feet
Soren discovered his toes and feet a little while ago and loves to play with them when you try to change his diaper. Luckily he is not trying to wiggle and crawl away without a diaper, so have fun with your toes. He usually has his socks lost anyway.

We took a Sunday drive today and looked at some new housing divisions around the town and a few new roads we never have been on before. LOL. Now we know a backway to the big park, too. We also eventually stopped counting all the wagons from the freight train while waiting until he finally passed and the rail road track stop. There were lots of them, luckily Bella can count really well. Even we just went to look at the new houses and constructions from the outside, one of the model homes was open and the girls decided that this house was just perfect as soon as they saw the kitchen. The loved it, Chiara went right for the tea kettle on the stove. They picked their rooms without a fight or any arguments. And Chiara was very excited about the shower of the master bathroom. She hates to shower. - Our kids are just weird.
Did I mention that it was just a model home, over 3000 square foot, way out of our budget, but really nice. I would have taken it in a heart beat, too, including the furniture - would save a big move and packing. LOL.
